William J. Duwell

William J. Duwell, age 96, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Carolyn J. Duwell (nee Egbert) for 63 years. Loving father to Michael (Lisa), Stephen, Victor, the late Sharon Van Risseghem, and Renee (Jim) Bedinghaus. Cherished grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of six. Dear brother of the late Gene (Helen) Duwell and Maureen Mokry, and loving uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Born in Cincinnati, Bill was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, Xavier University and Miami University. A Korean War veteran as a 1st Lt in the US Marine Corps. Respected teacher and successful player and coach in football and basketball, who enjoyed traveling, boating, and woodworking, especially carving. He enjoyed outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. With his wife spent many winters in Florida later in life. Having an easy going personality, Bill was a great listener and devoted to his faith. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am at Our Lady of Victory Church. If so desired, donations may be made to St. Xavier High School or The American Cancer Society.
