William C. Busch Sr.

William “Bill” C. Busch, Sr., passed away at the age of 99 on September 26, 2024 in Cincinnati surrounded by his family. Born on September 21, 1925, Bill graduated from Roger Bacon High School in 1943. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, dedicating his time to the service of his country. He furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati, receiving a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

After college, Bill spent his career working for Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company and retired after 40 years. Bill enjoyed reading, gardening, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. He enjoyed watching sports and attending games. 

Bill was preceded in death by Lorraine (Grafe), beloved wife for 66 years. Loving father of Barbara (Rudolph) Siegel, William C. (Mary Ann) Busch Jr., Thomas (Beverly) Busch, Paul (Susan) Busch, Claire (Edward) Paff, Gregory (Antoinette) Busch, Christine (Steven) Ranieri, Matthew (Kerri) Busch, Andrew (Stefanie) Busch, and the late Robert and Katherine Busch. Devoted grandfather of 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2 at St. Antoninus Church,1500 Linneman Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238 from 9:30am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.

Bill passed away peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati well-fortified with the sacraments of the Catholic Church. He lived his life with a deep faith and a strong work ethic.
