Robert J. O'Herron Sr.

Robert John "Bob" O'Herron passed away peacefully in his home under hospice care with his eldest son, Robert Jr., by his side, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at age 95. He is survived by his three children, Rob, Kevin, and Michael. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of over 55 years, Jeanne O'Herron (Nichols.) He was the youngest child of the late William O'Herron and Mary O'Herron. He was also preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, William O'Herron, Kay (Marc) Christopfel, Beatrice (Emmert) Berns, Edward O'Herron and his brother-in-law, Charles Nichols Jr. and his sister-in-law, Lee Nichols.

Bob was born and raised on the West side of Cincinnati. He attended Western Hills High School, received an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton, and a master's in science from the University of Cincinnati. Bob was an avid golfer, but he loved the 19th hole ⛳ the most. After Jeanne passed away in 2019, he was introduced to the Wonders of Online Music and got aquianted with his new best friend that they call 'Alexa'. He loved listening to 'Old Blue Eyes' Frank Sinatra, his favorite Irish Band - The Fureys, Andrea Bocelli, Renee Fleming, Josh Groban, & Mantovani to name a few. Bob had two main Care Givers over the last several years, Venetia and Trish. These Ladies were a Godsend for our father, and they brought him so much Joy and Happiness. I know my father loved these ladies for their true friendship and the great care that they provided him, day in & day out. We thank you so much: Trish & Venetia, you will always be loved by the O'Herron's. Bob was also Blessed to attend his, Family Reunion Style, 95th birthday party in 2025. Special thanks go out to Bob's niece, Diane Holman, who Lovingly Hosted his 95th at her home.

One Final Note:

Bob loved his Cincinnati Bengals, as did Jeanne. They were long-term season ticket holders from the very beginning. They attended the Bengal's 1st Super Bowl in Pontiac MI and their 2nd Super Bowl in Miami FL, but a Bengal's Super Bowl Victory remains elusive to this very day.
