Robert E. McClure died peacefully surrounded by his family on August 10, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Shirley (nee Lewis) or as he loved to call her “Shirl”


He was an amazing father to Cathy Markus and Stephen (Roselle) McClure. He was the best grandfather to Christopher McClure, Jennifer (David) Siefert, Robert Markus, Taylor McClure, Cody McClure and Brand Brandon McClure.

He was also blessed to have many great grandchildren: Kristen (Jesse) Fetters, Tyler Gill, Jacob Miller, Makaylah Gill, Alexander Siefert, Kiera Stith, Michael Siefert, Caiden McClure, Paisley Mumfrey, Allison and Aubrey Cassidy, and Kensley Neaves


His biggest blessing was to be a great-great grandfather to Collin and Caleb Meyer. He is survived by his brothers Kenneth and James McClure, and sister Carol Hammock. He is preceded in death by his father Robert J McClure, mother Mildred C (Taylor), brother Eldon “Eugene” McClure, sisters Lois Love and Katherine Creech.


Robert was born and raised in London, KY. He moved to Cincinnati and started his family and career in 1961. He was a devoted Supervisor at International Knife and Saw for 34 yrs. He was known as Mr. Fix It to all. Upon his retirement, he was devoted to his grandchildren, and was the best grandfather anyone could have.


A Celebration of Life will be held on 9/2/2023 at the Delhi Senior Center from 12-5 PM. A small family gathering will take place at his homestead in London, KY on 9/9/2023. Flowers can be sent to Shirley at her home address and will be brought to the Celebration of Life on 9/2.
