Richard G. Wessendorf

Richard Gerard Wessendorf, 60, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2026.

Richard was a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He is survived by his siblings, Reggi Wessendorf and Jay Wessendorf. He was preceded in death by his parents Arlene and Carl, brothers, Gary and Dale, as well as his sister-in-law, Jean. He was also a brother-in-law to Sandi and Rosie.

Richard was a loving uncle to Aimee, Andy(Amber), Amanda (Nathan), Mike (Devin), Carl, Nikki, and Benji, and a loving great-uncle to Aiden, Jeremy, Emmett, Drew, and Wells. Family was very important to Richard, and he always found ways to show his love and care. After the passing of his brother Dale, Richard made sure his nephews continued to receive their annual Christmas Hess trucks—a thoughtful tradition that reflected the kind of person he was and the love he had for his family.

Richard was a talented woodworker, and anyone fortunate enough to see his work would agree that he had a true gift. He took pride in his craftsmanship and created beautiful pieces that will be cherished and remembered.

Richard was also a friend to many. He enjoyed the friendships he made through his local gun club at SWOCC, and he shared a special bond with his best friend, Ken Bechtol. The friendships Richard built throughout his life were meaningful, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday July 29, 2026 from 11am until the time of the memorial service at 1pm held at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. 45233

Richard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will live on through the people he loved, the traditions he carried on, the friendships he treasured, and the beautiful work he left behind.

Rest in peace, Richard. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
