Patricia E. Phillips

Patricia Ermma Phillips measured her life not in milestones, but in the people she cared for.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Carol Phillips (née McCulley); her son, Terry R. Phillips, who died at birth and remained a quiet and lasting presence in her life; her sisters Calista, Beth, and Paula; and several nieces and nephews she held close. She is survived by her siblings Edwin, Pamela, Stevie, Sarah, Angie, Lisa Britt (née Phillips), Arthur, and Jackie, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friendships.

Patricia’s life was anchored in her family. She stayed close, stayed involved, and often carried more than her share without hesitation. She noticed what others needed and responded without being asked. That was how she loved.

She wanted a large family of her own. In its absence, she gave that same devotion to the family she had, extending herself in ways that were not always visible, but always felt.

Her life was not easy. Still, she remained outward-facing, continuing to care for others with a steadiness that did not depend on circumstance.

Patricia will be remembered not for what she said about love, but for how consistently she lived it.

A memorial mass will take place at St. William Church on Friday April 24, 2026 at 10am. a celebration of life will follow immediately after the mass in the undercroft of the church.
