Michael F Olberding, 60, passed away suddenly at home on July 14th, 2021 in Cincinnati, OH.
Mike, born June 30th 1961, was preceded in death by his father Tony and his son Chris. He is survived by his mother Phyllis Olberding and children, Adam (Jessica) Singhoff, Joshua Singhoff, Jeffrey Olberding, and Melissa Olberding. He leaves grandson Brendan and granddaughter Alaina, due in September. Mike shared his life and children with Lynn Richmond and Patty Olberding and was the dear brother of Karen Kellard, Susan (Richard) Slouffman and Ken (Laurie) Olberding.
Mike graduated from Oak Hills High School in 1979 and spent most of his career with Fernald and Cincinnati Water Works before retiring in October of 2019. Mike loved corny jokes, trading stocks, the casino, Xavier basketball, and hanging out with buddies, Dan and Jeff. Mike liked a good plan and made many despite his favorite quote: “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” Being a father was the most important thing in his life. He recently said that being a family and being there for each other gives the best chance of overcoming all things. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 20th 5-8pm at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday July 21st 10:30 am at St Martin of Tours Church 3720 St. Martins’ Place. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
