Matthew D. Schill

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew David Schill, on Nov. 20, 2025, at the age of 37. Matthew was the beloved son of Diane (nee Zenni) and the late Mike Schill, the brother of Danny (Becky) and Kathleen Schill. He is survived by his friend and former wife Courtney (nee Geiger) and their beautiful children, Michael, Louis, and Margaret.

Matthew was the adored nephew of Ed (Laurie) Zenni, Mark (Patty) Zenni, Dr. Greg (Sue) Zenni, Amy (nee Zenni) (David) Van Schoik, Chris (nee Schill) Monaghan, Greg Schill, Julie (nee Schill) (Ricardo Parales) Blake, Dianne (nee Schill) (Donnie) Schroder, Jenny (nee Schill) (Glenn) Armitage, and grandson to Joan “Memaw” (nee Zerhusen) Schill.

A proud graduate of Elder High School and THE Ohio State University, Matthew loved supporting his alma maters, as well as his Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals… even during the worst of seasons. He was an avid music fan and would shock a room with his beautiful singing voice. The only things Matthew loved more than his Reds or music, were his children, whom we are certain he is watching over.

Matthew’s kind soul, warm smile, and capacity to love made the world a better place. He had a big heart, a quick wit, and an infectious laugh. Matthew’s presence will be sorely missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by countless friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Schill, grandfathers, Dr. Edward Zenni Jr. and Arthur Schill, grandmother Esther “OG Gaga” (nee Koch) Zenni, and uncle Michael Monaghan. All of whom are certainly sharing a laugh in Heaven.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Radel Funeral Home (650 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at 10:00am at St. Dominic Church (4551 Delhi Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45238).  It's Purple Friday... wear purple. Altiora.
