Mom was created by God and born on this earth as tough as nails.
Her gifts of faith, strength, wisdom, compassion, selflessness, courage and kindness were all gifts from God and from the day she was born she shared these gift throughout her life with so many.
Throughout mom’s life she always had the courage to “Tell it like it is”!
If you asked mom for advice or shared something with her, you had better be ready to hear what she had to say, as Mom never mixed feel good words with the truth. Everyone admired her for her frankness even though sometimes we didn’t like to hear it, but she was ALWAYS RIGHT in her wisdom and advice.
She showed us how to be a family and a team by loving and supporting each other each in our own way.
Our home was full of love and dinner at the table together was all we ever wanted or needed.
Mom never complained about not having enough and she always shared what we had with others.
She always said this prayer in time of need. “To the Three that Never Fail, Father, Son and Holy Spirit help us”.
She was the definition of a Prayer Warrior and she prayed for everyone who asked for her special prayers.
Her prayers were always answered in God’s time.
Whether someone was sick emotionally, spiritually or physically she prayed and God worked Miracles through her special prayers.
She herself was a living miracle.
For well over 40 years mom volunteered tirelessly and passionately for her Beloved St. Lawrence Parish in Price Hill and at St. Boniface in Piqua Ohio with her best friend Jane and Saint Father Angelo Caserta.
She was a daily volunteer for her community and spent much of her time visiting nursing homes and feeding the poor and forgotten.
Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter were spent gathering food and donations for the poor in the community.
She raised money to put hundreds if not thousands of children though school and they all received a free Catholic education.
She created and took charge of numerous annul fundraisers , including the Cincinnati Fire Museum.
When trying just a little to brag on mom, she would shake her head no and say, “I did nothing alone, my friends and I were a team”!
If anyone reading this wants or needs an example of what God wants us to be like here on this earth,
To “ Treat Others As You Would Like to Be Treated “, you can reflect on mom’s life.
She lived all of her life EXACTLY how God wants US to live.
Yes, it is hard sometimes, but we can do it!
When those hard times come to you,
Just Think, and ask yourself…..What would Mom-Mama-Mama Mia-Mama Coco-Nan, Marge DO or Say….
