Kevin McCormick passed away in the early hours of January 28, 2026. Kevin will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but for the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. He leaves behind a legacy marked by compassion, dedication, and a profound love for family and friends. Kevin was an avid hiker and river rafter and loved his work as a traveling commercial project superintendent. His work afforded him, alongside Pat, his wife of 34 years, to pursue a more than two decade adventure of hiking all the continental national parks & rafting rivers all over the country. Kevin’s favorite adventure was a 10 day rafting trip down the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. Another great adventure was walking the streets of Tel Aviv on a personal tour by the mayor. He was so proud putting his dad‘s name on the immigrant wall at Ellis Island. Kevin loved camping & regaled at telling the story of a bear sniffing around the tent in the Smokies. Kevin was a good, sweet, kind man. He always fed the homeless sitting on the sidewalk outside his project door. He did not like seeing people suffer. But Kevin‘s greatest joy was his kids and his grandkids. Kevin was so proud of his family & one of his greatest pleasures was watching Sophia play basketball and softball; Griffin play basketball and football; & he loved listening to Zachary tell him about investing & his great hiking adventures with Victoria. When Kevin was traveling, the grandkids always looked forward to their special breakfast with Granddad when he came home. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Pat), cherished Dad to Brent (Tina) and Melanie (Rick), proud Grandad of Zachary (Victoria), Sophia, and Griffin. He is survived by his beloved mother, Naomi McCormick; his siblings Chris (Trish), Ginny, Brian (Linda), & Lynn; his niece, Katie (Tony), nephews Michael, Christian (Meghan), Josh (Alex), Tyler, Matt (Madi), & Alex (Nicole), & his nine great nieces & nephews. He is survived by Cali, his beloved little cat. He is proceeded in death by his father, William McCormick.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026 from 1pm until 3pm held at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. 45233
