Kenneth T. Harmeyer

Kenneth T. (Ken) Harmeyer, 76, of Sayler Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 12, 1949, in Cincinnati. Ken was the son of Tom and Claire (nee Brodbeck).Ken grew up in a close-knit family alongside his siblings: Nancy, Donna (Moore), Tom, and Dan. He graduated from St. Al’s Gonzaga, LaSalle High School, and went on to earn his degree from Xavier University. He married the love of his life, Donna (nee Stockleman), on November 27, 1971, and together they raised two children, Justin and Jill (Snyder). Ken’s family was his heart, and he found joy in every moment spent with his wife, children, and his three adored grandchildren: Thomas, Eliana, and Zoe. He was a second father to Eliana as he and Donna helped raise her after his son’s passing. A man who valued connection, Ken was known for his warm smile, infectious positive attitude, and ability to bring people together. Whether through his lifelong friendships with cousins, nieces, nephews, or friends from across the West Side, Ken’s spirit and love for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In his younger years, he enjoyed lively gatherings with his Pi Alpha Phi brothers, was an avid music lover and record collector, and proudly attended the original Woodstock. He also found peace and happiness traveling—especially to the beach. He loved cheering on his beloved Xavier Musketeers, holding season tickets to their basketball games for many years.Ken's unwavering faith was a guiding force in his life. He believed wholeheartedly that everyone was loved by Jesus and carried that belief with him through all seasons of life. When he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May 2023, Ken approached the challenge with courage and resolve. Embracing life to the fullest, he adopted the mantra "God, Attitude, and Treatment (GAT)" and was blessed to enjoy more than two additional years surrounded by family and friends. His social calendar was always full!Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; daughter, Jill (Andy) Snyder; grandchildren, Thomas, Eliana, and Zoe; sister, Donna (Moore); and brother, Tom.
