Kathleen B. Rothenbach

Kathleen Bernadette Rothenbach (nee Cunningham), 81, passed away unexpectedly in her home on April 17, 2025 after a long and fulfilling life. Kathleen was born on July 13, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph and Bernadette (Nee Ruschmann) Cunningham. She was a devout Catholic who loved God, her family, and country; a devoted fiancé, daughter, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply remembered and missed by all.

Kathleen was a proud graduate of Mount Notre Dame High School, class of 1961, as well as a long time Hamilton County Auditor’s office employee. She will be remembered for her love of traveling, storytelling, listening to Elvis, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and playing the slots. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others, as well as teaching her grandkids how to bake homemade bread. Kathleen was a kind, caring, and compassionate person who was fond of Catholic Charities and giving back.

Kathleen is now reunited with her mother, father, sister Karen Cunningham, and her fiancé William D. Bohan. Kathleen is survived by her two children, Joseph (Janelle) Rothenbach and Kathy (Jim) Hoernschemeyer; her brother, Pat (Jeanne) Cunningham; her eight grandchildren, Morgan and Nick Rothenbach, Brian, Brianne, Bridget, Bradley, Brittney, and Brooke Hoernschemeyer.

To celebrate the loving life of Kathleen, family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on April 24, 9:30-10:30am at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233. Following the Visitation, 11am, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church, 810 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233.
