Joy A. Simpson (née Zorn), age 90, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Joy was the beloved mother of Tammy Kief (Bill) and the late Raymond "Sonny" Norris. She was the devoted grandmother of Sara Koch (John), Michelle NeSmith (Brandon), and Paige Norris-Miller, and the proud and loving GiGi of Tristen and Jackson Traynor, Clara Koch, and Kai Miller, who brought her endless joy. She was the dear sister of Rita Gross (the late Don), Paul Zorn (Elizabeth), and the late Augie Zorn (Ruth).
Joy will be remembered for her sweet spirit, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. She always had the best jokes and could brighten any room with her smile and laughter. Above all else, she treasured her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and loved every moment she spent with them.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, including reading, working crossword puzzles, and playing golf. Joy also dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a profession that reflected her compassionate heart and genuine love of helping people.
Joy also had a special place in her heart for animals. She especially adored her rescued dog, Odie, who was a treasured companion.
A memorial gathering will take place on Friday July 24, 2026 at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb RD. from 3pm until the time of the funeral service at 5pm
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA in Joy's memory, honoring her lifelong love and compassion for animals.
Joy's kindness, humor, and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
