Jamie had many jobs throughout her lifetime, mostly in the service industry. She was also a volunteer at several sites throughout the city. She was interested in pursuing an eventual career in hair and make-up, where her artistic talents were evident to everyone around her. For the last several years, Jamie had been a stay-at-home mother, caring for her children and husband.
Jamie was beloved by everyone who knew her. She made friends everywhere she went and she cared deeply for every one of them. Jamie had many struggles in life, and because of that, she had unlimited empathy and unconditional acceptance for everyone. Jamie could see the beauty in every person and was able to make each person feel accepted. She often prioritized their needs over her own. She extended this love to not only people, but also to the animals she encountered. At one point, Jamie found an injured deer and brought it home to recover in her own bed. She even adopted an injured duck and could often be seen taking it on walks. She had so much love to give and gave it freely to people and animals alike.
Jamie was a very artistic person, whose passions shined brightly in many ways. She loved to paint and craft, especially with her kids. Messiness didn’t matter to her- joy and laughter did. A frequent canvas was herself, changing her style and hair color often. From blonde to red, pink and blue, there was no color that Jamie would not try. Jamie loved music and dancing and has attended hundreds of concerts and festivals over the years. Here you could see her with a hula hoop or glow sticks, bringing positive energy to everyone around her. Jamie was also incredibly funny, and loved to joke, play pranks, and create content. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for a laugh. Her humor and joy were contagious, and she made you feel like you were always in on the joke.
Jamie was forever young. She looked far younger than her 39 years, and her voice was still that of a child and often filled with wonder. She took joy in jumping in mud puddles, rolling down grassy hills, and playing in the park with her kids. Because of her gentle spirit and being the youngest in her family, her 5 sisters often attempted to mother and protect her, as they had done since birth. Now she will watch over them.
