In Loving Memory of Freda Rankin Sowma

Our family is heartbroken to share that Freda Rankin Sowma passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2025, at the age of 74. She had recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, which she faced with courage, and passed from a sudden heart attack.

Freda was a devoted wife to Theodore Sowma, a loving mother to Anthony (and his wife Justina) and Alexander, and a proud grandmother to Margot and Angus. She loved playing cards, spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren, and playing Animal Crossing on her Nintendo Switch. Her warmth, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Radel Funeral Home (650 Neeb Rd) on Wednesday, October 22, from 5–7 PM, funeral service to be held the following day Thursday October 23 at 11am at the funeral home with burial at Spring Grove Cemetery immediately following
