Fred Erdmann, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and colleague, passed away on August 15, 2026.Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, in February 6, 1943, Fred lived a life filled with family, friendship, work, and music. He was a man who made lasting connections with the people around him and was beloved by many friends throughout his life. Fred was a geologist and dedicated much of his professional career to Terracon. He was proud of his work and the career he built as a geologist. Music was a special part of Fred's life. A talented and versatile musician, Fred played the violin, guitar, and many other instruments. He had the opportunity to play with the Cincinnati Orchestra as well as the Foley Road Band. Music brought him great joy and allowed him to share his talent and love of music with others. Many of the friendships he made through music became lasting and meaningful relationships. Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Erdmann. Together, they shared a life filled with memories, family, music, and friendship. Fred leaves behind his two sons, Jonathan Erdmann and Timothy Erdmann; his daughter-in-law, Kara Erdmann; and his beloved grandchildren, Jack and Zachary. He also leaves behind many dear friends and former colleagues who will remember him fondly and miss his presence in their lives. Fred will be remembered for his love of music, his dedication to his work, his friendships, and the special place he held in the lives of those who knew him. Above all, he will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His music may have stopped, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to resonate for years to come.
