Edward "Moon" E. Mullins
Edward E. (“Moon”) Mullins, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Mullins (née Diersen), married for over 57 years. Devoted father of Lisa Florian (the late Mike) and Jo Ann Shappelle (the late Kevin). Loving grandpa to Sam Florian and Nick Shappelle. He will also be missed by cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Cleo Mullins (née Bailey) and Ellis Mullins.
Moon graduated from Purcell High School in 1957. Though not originally a Westsider, he was well known in the Delhi community. He coached youth football and basketball at St. Dominic for many years. Later in life he helped coach youth football, basketball and baseball at Our Lady of Victory. He was also a softball umpire for many years at Delhi Park and Westside Sports Park.
Moon was a proud US Army veteran. While in the army, he travelled throughout Europe playing baseball. He was a very good baseball player.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory on Friday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Elder High School, Family Crisis Fund, 3900 Vincent Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45205.
