Dolores Orlando

Dolores Orlando, née Louden, was born on December 10, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She lived a life filled with family, cherished memories, laughter, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.

Dolores married the love of her life, Simone Orlando, on May 4, 1957. They shared nearly 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Together, they built a life and raised their daughter, Melissa Orlando, who was a very important part of her life.

Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Simone, and her two sisters, Mill Fiasco and Margie Whitt. She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa Orlando; her two grandchildren, Ray Suesz and Emily Suesz; and many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.

Dolores found joy in the things she loved most. She enjoyed crocheting, reading Nora Roberts novels, working crossword puzzles and word searches, and spending time coloring, which was perhaps her favorite pastime of all. She absolutely loved to color and could happily spend hours enjoying this simple pleasure.

Back in the day, Dolores was a member of a bowling team, and she absolutely loved bowling. It was an activity that brought her happiness and created wonderful memories throughout her life.

She enjoyed watching her favorite television programs, including Walker, Texas Ranger, Jeopardy!, and Dr. Phil. Her favorite movies included The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The Jolson Story, and Jolson Sings Again. These classic films held a special place among the movies she loved.

Throughout her working years, Dolores worked at KDI in Withamsville, Ohio, where she built timers for bombs. She later worked at Grand Victoria Casino as an auditor in the office.

When her daughter was young, Dolores and her husband enjoyed belonging to an antique car club. This was a fun part of their lives, giving them the opportunity to share their interest in antique cars and make lasting memories together.

Dolores treasured the special bonds she shared with her sisters and the happy times spent laughing and giggling with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed having fun with her family, and those moments of laughter and togetherness were an important part of her life. Her grandchildren also held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the connection they shared.

Dolores will be remembered for the things she loved, the laughter she shared, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family. Whether she was coloring, reading a favorite book, working on a puzzle, enjoying a classic movie, or remembering the fun times spent bowling, she found happiness in the simple things that made life special.
