Charles R. Bastin

Charles R. Bastin "Charlie", born on May 5, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on March 8, 2026. Charlie was a cherished brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charlie was known for his sense of humor and loved to tell a good joke, and was always ready to laugh wholeheartedly at his own funny stories. He possessed a remarkable memory, which was a real gift to family and friends. When his dear mother was struck with Alzheimer's Disease, Charlie was a caring and dedicated caretaker to her, throughout the course of her illness. He is survived by his beloved sister, Theresa Dill (nee Bastin), and his brother Ed Bastin (Laurie), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and several dedicated caretakers who assisted and cared him over the course of his life. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rose Bastin, and his brother-in-law, Edward Dill. Charlie's kind spirit and generous heart touched many lives, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Family will greet friends on Wednesday 3/18/26 from 10:00 AM until Noon at Radel Funeral Home, followed by cemetery prayers at 1:30 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends are welcome to call at either or both events. No formal procession will occur between the funeral home and cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
