Carolyn Sims

Carolyn Anne Lynn Sims (née Fenger), age 82, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025 with family by her side. 

Born on July 28, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a long and meaningful life that touched many.

She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Fenger and sister to the late Wilma Wessler. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Sims Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years.

Her memory is lovingly carried forward by her children: Tim; Terry and his wife Carol; Larry and his wife Patricia; Greg and his wife Paula; and Dawn and her husband Matthew Helmes. She was a proud grandmother to Chris (Melissa) Sims, Alicia Sims, Josh (Mackenzie) Sims, Bradley, Holly and Nicholas Sims, Aaron Schurdak, Sami Culbertson, Krystina (Dylan Weber) Sims, Seth, and Cassidy Helmes. Carolyn also found great joy in her great-grandchildren: Chloe, Wyatt, Everlee, Jameson, and Corbin.

A memorial gathering to honor Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service immediately following at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. A wake will follow at 11:30 AM, Scoreboard Bar & Grill, 3783 Shady Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45052.
