Carole Jean Schobert (Roa), 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 18, 2025. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 14, 1937. Carole was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Schobert, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Roa, siblings and in-laws Charles (Alma) Roa, Patricia (Bob) Lee, Joe Roa, Claudia Roa, Jack Roa, Rose (Edward) Woelfel, Dolores (Kenneth) Inman, James Schobert and Janet (Robert) Conwell. Carole was the loving mother of Denise (and the late Terry) Allgeyer, Patty (Vince) Clark, Jane (Todd) Heinrich and Lori (Steve) Macke. Devoted grandmother of Matthew (Jen) Clark, Ryan Clark, Tyler (Michelle) LaHue-Allgeyer, Lindsey and (Dan) Buelterman, Michael (Tessa Royer) Allgeyer, Stephanie Heinrich, Greg (Kristen) Heinrich, Jessica Heinrich, Seamus and Ronan Macke. She was the devoted great grandmother of Nicholas and Alex Allgeyer, Brooklyn and Audrey LaHue-Allgeyer, Gwen Clark and baby Clark due January 2026. She is survived by her sister Colette (Ron) Weigand and sister-in-law, Marlene (and the late James) Schobert and many nieces and nephews.
Carole grew up in lower Price Hill, attending St. Michael’s School through 8th grade and St. Xavier Commercial High School. She worked as a stenographer at Western-Southern Life Insurance Company until she married Larry and stayed home to raise her four daughters. When most others were retiring, Carole returned to the work force as a lunch lady at Oak Hills High School for ten years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed reading, lunch dates with former co-workers and neighbors and occasional trips to the casinos or a German fest! All the while, attending her grandchildren’s school programs and sporting events throughout the years. Most of all, she was a devoted Catholic, practicing her faith daily, praying countless rosaries and attending Mass weekly.
Visitation will take place at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 45233, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church. Memorials may be made to SAAP, online OR mailed to P.O. Box 72040, Newport, KY 41072 or a charity of one's choice.
