Annabelle "Sage" Acheampong, age 20, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Born at UC Hospital on April 12, 2006, Sage grew up in Cincinnati and attended Oak Hills High School. She was a wonderfully talented artist who expressed her creativity beautifully through both conventional and digital mediums. Tech-savvy and imaginative, she also loved playing video games and had a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and anime.
Those who knew Sage will forever remember her gentle, nurturing spirit. Animals naturally gravitated toward her, sensing the quiet kindness she carried. This tenderness extended profoundly to the people around her; Sage possessed the true heart of a servant. She cared deeply for those who were neglected or abused and was a steady, reliable pillar of support for others when times were hard.
Driven by her boundless compassion and bright intellect, Sage had aspirations of becoming a neurosurgeon. She was just beginning this exciting chapter of her life, having recently enrolled at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College for the fall semester.
Sage will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family. She is survived by her loving parents—her father Kwame Acheampong, her mom Christy Acheampong, and her biological mother Samantha Snyder—as well as her grandparents and her siblings. She was residing with her grandmother at the time of her passing, sharing a special bond that will not be forgotten.
Private funeral services will be held to honor Sage’s life. The family will share details regarding the service with friends, family, and loved ones.
