It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Amanda Jane Biser (Roche), age 46, who died on May 31st.
Amanda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent her formative years. She attended C.O. Harrison Elementary School, Delhi Middle School, and Oak Hills High School before pursuing higher education at Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary English Education, danced on the EKU Dance Team, and was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She later completed her Master's degree in Literacy at the University of Cincinnati.
Amanda dedicated 25 years to education, serving as a high school English teacher at Colerain High School, Harrison High School, and Oak Hills High School. Amanda cared deeply about her students and colleagues, a quality reflected in her unwavering commitment to helping students succeed. She worked tirelessly to make her classroom a place where all students felt supported, valued, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.
Amanda had a big heart and an even bigger smile—the kind that could light up any room she walked into. Beyond the classroom, she was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved reading, attending live music shows, and spending time on the boat. Amanda was also deeply involved in her community, coaching wrestling statisticians and her daughters’ cheerleading squads. She was known for throwing the best birthday parties and for the genuine love she showed to her family and friends.
Amanda's greatest joy was being a mother to Madison and Brooklyn. She cherished every moment with her daughters, never missing an opportunity to be present in their lives—whether cheering from the sidelines, offering guidance, or simply being there to listen. Her love for them was boundless and unconditional, and it was clear that motherhood was the role she treasured most. The bond she shared with Madison and Brooklyn was a testament to her devotion, and her daughters were forever her proudest accomplishment.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Dan; her daughters, Madison and Brooklyn; her second mother, Theresa Padur; her siblings, Matthew and “Bear”; and a large, loving family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Roche (Campbell), and her father, Dick Roche.
A visitation service to celebrate Amanda's life will be held on June 5th from 4–7 p.m. at Whitewater Crossing Community Church, 5771 OH-128, Cleves, OH 45002.
A funeral service will follow on June 6th at 11 a.m. at the same location, followed by burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
The family encourages everyone to wear Pink in support of breast cancer or Red, which was Amanda’s favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Karen Wellington Foundation: https://www.karenwellingtonfoundation.org/donate. Amanda wholeheartedly supported this organization, and she would be honored to help others battling breast cancer.
