Albert "Bud" E. Harnist

Albert E. “Bud” Harnist, beloved husband of 61 years to the late Ruth Harnist (Nee: Bruewer 2010), passed away on February 27th, 2026, at the age of 98.

Bud was the devoted father of Ellen (Don 2018) Demaree, Debbie (John) Cook, Greg (Mary Padur) Harnist, Doug (Terri) Harnist, Ken (Jennifer) Harnist, and Jenny (Milt) Barnes. He was a cherished grandfather to 16 grandchildren and a proud great‑grandfather to 25. Bud is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will remember him with great affection.

Music was a lifelong passion for Bud. He played saxophone at St. Xavier High School and went on to perform for more than 60 years with the Seven Sharps Orchestra—an enduring source of joy and camaraderie in his life.

Bud enjoyed a long career as a sales manager with Hostess and Wonder Bread, later continuing to work for Kroger following his retirement. He also dedicated several years volunteering at Bayley Place Nursing Home, offering his time and kindness in service to others.

Bud will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Delhi (513.451.8800).

Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 810 Neeb Road, Delhi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bayley Place Nursing Home, 990 Bayley Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45233, or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
