Tim was born on November 3rd 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was the third of eight children. He was a lifelong westsider who graduated from Elder High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, stationed at Fort Sills in Oklahoma during the Vietnam War. He married his high school sweetheart Diane Rose in 1968 and they raised three children together. Tim worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years and estimated that he walked enough miles to circle the globe several times. Tim took great pride in the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan who followed and supported the Reds, Bengals, U.C. Bearcats, and especially the Elder Panthers throughout his life. One of his greatest joys was attending Elder football games with his brothers, rarely missing a game. He also enjoyed playing softball and golf, as well as discussing history and politics. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh particularly while watching “dumb” comedies, his fondness for giving silly nicknames, his work ethic, his unwavering dedication to family, and his incredible ability to persevere through adversity.
