It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Stephanie Niemeyer (Shaw), on May 7, 2021 at age 73, after an 8-year STOIC battle with Ovarian cancer. Devoted wife of Joe Niemeyer, her passing comes just a few days after losing her beloved husband of 53 years. These two have shared an unbreakable bond since their 8th grade year at St. Teresa, when they went on their first date to a St. William’s dance.
Loving mother of Jenny Carey (Dave), Jill Rankin (Greg) and Joel Niemeyer (Connie Kestermann). Cherished Nanny of Kelsey, Lexie, Hayden, Hunter, Josie, Jordan, Corey and Logan. Also, survived by numerous friends and very special co-workers.
Our Mom/Nanny will be the ultimate ‘Dancing Queen’ with Joe/Dad/Grandpa up in heaven. She will be fondly remembered for her dedication to Healthcare, throwing the ultimate parties, being the most gracious and respectful cancer patient, her guitar playing, sharing an inside joke with lots of giggles, being accommodating and thoughtful above and beyond, her special love of dogs and having a heart of gold for all of her grandchildren.
The combined Visitation will be Monday, May 10th, 4 PM-7 PM, at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 11th at 10 AM at St. Teresa of Avila, 1175 Overlook Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45239. Private burial will follow.
