Ronald H. Strube, 84 of Green Township, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Born to Harry and Edith (nee Bertram) Strube on April 5, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Beyer) Strube, sister Virginia (Strube) Hoverman, daughter Jenny (Strube) Luke, son John Strube and two grandsons, Nicholas and Mason Luke. Also survived by his nieces and nephew, Robert Hoverman, Kathy Hoverman, and Lori (Hoverman) Christman. Visitation, Saturday December 4th from 10:00-11:00am, memorial service at 11:00am all at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 5261 Foley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

Ron passed away unexpectedly in his home. The family is grateful the Lord kept him from long term suffering or illness. Ron was a graduate from Western Hills High School, class of 1955. He attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he gained his Engineering Degree. He began working for General Electric where he met his wife, Patricia in their carpool. Ron and Pat were married in 1964 and started their family a few years later. Ron went to night school at Xavier University and obtained his Masters Degree in Business.

Ron and Pats love for cruises kept them busy planning for the next one they could not wait to take. They took several cruises including the Mediterranean, and Hawaii. The friends they met and adventures they had while travelling kept them in full cruise mode whenever possible. Ron loved to build things...especially finishing basements into beautiful family rooms. Ron built several for himself and for his daughters home. Ron and Pat love the Reds. So much, that after Ron retired from General Electric he became a ticket taker. After he left the Reds, he began to volunteer at Mercy West. He really enjoyed helping wheel patients around to their tests within the hospital. Ron would talk to every single one of them hoping to make their day better. During all this, Ron never missed one of his grandsons sporting or school events. Both of his grandsons, Nick and Mason graduated from ST. Xavier High School. Ron was so proud of their accomplishments on and off the football and baseball field.

Ron was a quiet man, a true family man. Many of his friends will describe his as "one of the good guys". He was loyal to all. He rarely said a bad word out loud or about anyone he knew. Ron focused his attention on keeping his family safe and working hard around his house. Although most would describe him as quiet, he had a sense of humor that was hidden until he decided to "Zing" you. His grandsons termed Ron's humor as "grandpa's zingers". The one liners were constant just when you did not think he was even listening! His daughter, Jenny describes him as "the smartest man" she knows. His dedication to his family and his career were his passion.
