Mary M. was born on May 4th, 1918, during the time of the Spanish Flu and passed away on January 22nd, 2021. Our father Homer League died in 1968, and our mother was left to raise my sister and myself. Eleven years ago she went to live at a nursing home where she resided until her death. She was diagnosed with Covid 19 on January 6th and as the days went on we were hoping and praying that she had beaten it. However, we found out on January 15th she started running a high fever and then subsequently died on January 22nd, one day after being released from the Covid wing of the nursing home. Since she was clear of Covid, my sister and I were able to see her on the day before her death. We are extremely grateful for that.
She was a daughter, a sister and had three siblings, a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Michele Allyn and Elizabeth Abbott and her grandson Mark Abbott and his wife Sandra.
Our hearts are sadden at her passing but we are comforted by the fact that she lived a good long life. We loved her dearly and will miss her so much. Love you forever and always.
