Glenn W. Bokenkotter

Glenn W. Bokenkotter was unexpectantly called to his heavenly home during the early hours of Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Born in Cincinnati on June 30, 1960 to Janice (Jan) and William (Bill) Bokenkotter, he was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Victory elementary and middle school, Elder High School and Xavier University, and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and Parish. Glenn leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Barbara (Barb), his daughter Amy and her husband Joe Wojnowski and their three children – his cherished grandchildren – Zachary, Vance and Adalyn, and his son Ryan and his wife, Lexi. He is also survived by his father Bill and his siblings Tim, Todd and Christine and their families. Glenn’s mother preceded him in death in 2011.

After a 10-year career with the Kroger Company – which he began when he was 16 – he started a small business that he successfully owned and operated for over 20 years. Glenn was a dedicated loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family. For several years during the fair-weather seasons, he and his father met nearly every Saturday at 7am, rain or shine, to play a round of golf. He also enjoyed taking his family on summer vacations and looked forward to Friday night gatherings with a special group of friends he and his wife refer to as Friday Friends.

Glenn will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and his co-workers. However, everyone can take comfort to know that he is in a beautiful resting place – "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 810 Need Road, Cincinnati OH 45233.
