Glenn J. Laib, 90, died on December 24, 2021 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Glenn was born on October 27, 1931 in Cincinnati and lived the majority of his life on the West Side.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Mary (Adele) & Frank Laib, his wife of 42 years Florence (Flo) (nee Sullivan), his son Ralph Laib, his brothers Roger & Kenneth Laib, and his sister-in-law Shirley Laib.
Glenn is survived by his 5 children: Wayne (Debbie) Laib, Cincinnati, OH; Carol (Jim) McKay, Lexington, KY; Greg (Patty Maines) Laib, Cincinnati, OH; Frank (Renee Wagner) Laib, Wadsworth, OH; and Paula Wilton, Cincinnati, OH. He also leaves behind his 12 grandchildren: Katie (Andy) Jones, William (Joe) Laib, Justin (Samantha Morgan) McKay, Keith (Bonnie Jones) McKay, Krissie (Joey) Bates, CJ (Kurt) Lemke, Adam Laib, Douglas Laib (Katelyn Gellenbeck), Kelly Laib, David Laib, Brandon (Sarah Schroeder) Wilton, Austin Wilton and 13 great grandchildren: Owen, Gabe & Nate Jones; Carter, Greer, Briar, Emilie & Hudson McKay; Alexa Lemke, Skyla & Elliott Bates; Harper & Jack Laib.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marge Laib, Cincinnati and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn graduated from Elder High School in 1949 and served in the Korean war as a Tech SGT in the US Army from March 1952 to December 1953. Glenn met his loving wife Flo at Shillito’s in the mailroom where his retail management career spanned 40 years.
After retiring in 1989, Glenn spent his time attending Elder High School football games, meeting with his Elder Class of 49 classmates (the 49er’s), going to the racetrack, cousin lunches and enjoying his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 3rd, 2021 at St Dominic Catholic Church, on Delhi Pike from 9am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Glenn to Elder High School Class of 1949 Scholarship Fund at 3900 Vincent Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45205.
